Our Spartanburg facility is seeking a high-impact Maintenance Supervisor who can bring structure, urgency, and reliability thinking to our maintenance operations. This role is not simply about maintaining equipment — it is about driving improvements to equipment uptime, plant infrastructure, and maintenance systems while developing a high-performing maintenance team.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily maintenance operations of the plant while driving equipment reliability, facility improvements, and structured maintenance processes. This individual will play a key role in improving uptime, strengthening preventive maintenance systems, and ensuring the plant infrastructure supports safe and efficient operations.
This role requires someone who can move quickly from identifying issues to implementing solutions while also building long-term systems that prevent repeat problems.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Reliability & Maintenance Systems
• Lead daily maintenance operations ensuring rapid response to equipment issues while maintaining focus on long-term reliability.
• Develop and strengthen structured Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance programs.
• Ensure PM completion and quality while continuously improving PM effectiveness.
• Drive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
• Improve equipment uptime through reliability-focused improvements.
Facilities & Infrastructure Improvement
• Identify and drive improvements to plant infrastructure, utilities, and building systems.
• Develop plans to improve equipment condition, maintenance standards, and facility reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance support for facility upgrades, equipment installations, and capital improvements.
• Manage contractors and external service providers during maintenance and improvement projects.
Maintenance Process Structure
• Implement structure and discipline in maintenance operations including work order management, PM scheduling, spare parts and MRO management, and maintenance planning.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and drive accountability for work completion.
• Improve maintenance workflow efficiency and response time.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Support
• Support production by driving OEE improvements and downtime reduction initiatives.
• Lead or support Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and CI teams to improve equipment performance.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and develop maintenance technicians and skilled trades.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to maintenance team members.
• Support development of training programs and technical skill growth.
